2020 Week 12 Grilled Greek Venison with Feta cheese sauce

Ingredients 

1 pound Venison loin

Marinade 

¼ cup lemon juice

¾ cup olive oil

1 teaspoon sea salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon dried oregano

Grated zest of a lemon

Cheese sauce

1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese

1/4 cup light cream cheese

3 tablespoons low-fat plain yogurt or 3 tablespoons sour cream

1/2 teaspoon finely chopped garlic

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon water

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Instructions 

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients with venison in a lidded container or large ziploc bag.  Marinate for several hours or overnight. 
  2. Grill on medium heat until desired doneness. 
  3. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a food processor and purée until smooth.
  4. Serve with cheese sauce.
  5. Enjoy!
